Our Jersey cow Buttercup is producing around 3 gallons of milk a day and it can be challenging to use it all up. I started making yogurt and to be honest, as yummy fresh yogurt is, it can get boring. I am not a huge breakfast eater, so I wanted to make something easy. So these are quick to grab and go. They also make great snacks.

Supplies

To make these Fruity Frozen Yogurt Bars you will need the following.

  • yogurt (I used plain vanilla I made, but you can use any kind as long as it is full fat.
  • granola or cereal of your choice.
  • honey
  • fresh fruit
  • I used some strawberry powder I had made with dehydrated strawberries. Optional
  • food processer or you can just cut your strawberries small and stir
  • muffin tin or silicone molds
Fresh yogurt, strawberries, honey and granola on a tray.

Summer treat worthy!

I am so ready for summer! These Frozen Fruity Yogurt Bars will be great for a snack on those hot days! I am so excited for this summer, right now as I am writing this, it is March. In Colorado that means it is snow storm season. So I am counting down the days till Spring. The in the heat of summer, I will be counting down the days till fall. Isn’t that the way it goes!

The Process

Step by step process

First thing you are going to want to do is get your molds ready. If you are using muffin tins, you will want to use a liner, for easy removal. If you are using silicone molds like I prefer you are set. Then put a layer of your cereal or granola of choice on the bottom.

Next add the remaining ingredients to a food processor or bowl. If using a food processor just hit pulse till the fruit you chose is cut up the way you want it. That is it for this step!

Lastly, you will want to carefully fill your molds or cupcake liners with the yogurt mixture and garnish it if you wish. Slip it into the freezer for a few hours. Then enjoy!

Remove your Fruity Frozen Yogurt Bars from the freezer!

Remove from the freezer and enjoy! I keep mine in a container and they should last 2-3 weeks! Now it is time to enjoy your Fruity Frozen Yogurt Bars! I like to put them in a little bowl and let them melt just slightly and use a spoon. Or you can just eat one on the go! I think next I am going to try a blueberry and a Kiwi fruit one. I also would like to try chunkier granola.

Yield: Depends on mold you use.
